Journeyers
Journeyers is Lidy Blijdorp’s debut album, released on Rubicon Classics. The programme brings together the colourful world of Ravel and the folk-inspired intensity of Kodály, with Lidy’s own arrangements of music by Ravel alongside chamber works for cello, violin and piano.
Journeyers received two Edison Klassiek Awards in 2020: Best Debut and the Public Prize.

Journeyers is a vivid meeting of worlds: Maurice Ravel’s shimmering soundscapes sit alongside the earthy, folk-rooted intensity of Zoltán Kodály.
Lidy Blijdorp presents her own arrangements from Ravel’s Daphnis et Chloé and Rapsodie espagnole, together with Ravel’s Sonata for Violin and Cello and Kodály’s Sonata for Solo Cello, Op. 8.
